It was performed at Netham Lock as part of the Here Nor There collectives 'where r u ?' ferry trip for the Dialogue Festival at 9.20pm on Sunday the 13th of July 2003.

Trumpet and Traffic is a composition based on selected samples of Bristol's urban traffic, street ambience and a three part trumpet ensemble composition. Individual samples were chosen from over 5 hours of minidisc recordings of Bristol's main m32 traffic junction, for their inherent tonality, rhythm and timbre. As the samples were compiled and manipulated in CUbase VST they began to dictate the notation of the trumpet composition by the various rhythms and tone structures that they resonated.
